civic hatch

Me and this chick I work with are going in halves on this 1990 civic hatch that my friend (sort of) is selling for $250. Gonna take it out on the logging roads and rally the shit out of it, lol. Anyways, gonna try and do alot of "weight reduction" and I was wondering how hard it is to remove the Air conditioning and vents and whatnot. Anyone have any experience with this?

The damn thing ended up not being a 5 spd, and someone did something to it so it doesnt run anymore. Think im gonna pass this deal up, lol.

dude are you crazy?!?!? for 250, you're still getting a great deal. With the motor not working, just gives you more reason to pull everything out and put a swap in it and do the auto to many conversion at the same time. Even if you dont decide to go that route, i'm pretty damn sure you can go and use it as a parts car and make some extra cash. If still decide to not take it, shit...point him to my direction and i'll be more than happy. i already have a 89 hatch and i just love those damn things!
